How does your payment structure work?
Every engagement begins with an initial payment to reserve your start date. From there, payments can be divided into agreed-upon installments. We’ll create a payment schedule that aligns with the scope and duration of your project, as well as your revenue ebbs and flows.
What if we discover that we need additional services beyond the original agreement?
If your needs evolve, we can add to your engagement through a clear, written addendum or new agreement. Additional work is billed hourly: $450/hour for legal services and $350/hour for consulting work. This keeps scope flexible but fully transparent.
What happens if you’re fully booked?
We maintain a short waitlist and would be happy to add your business to it. When you join, we’ll give you a clear estimate of availability so you can decide whether to wait or find interim support.

Yes! All potential engagements begin with a 30-minute Discovery Consultation to confirm alignment and determine whether Tavola is the right fit. (Because while we want to be perfect for you, we will be honest if we are not aligned.) We’ll discuss your goals, pain points, and desired outcomes before we begin drafting any proposal.
How long do engagements typically last?
Most Tavola engagements are term-limited, typically ranging between 6 and 52 weeks depending on complexity. We believe in defined seasons of work that bring focus, results, and closure, not endless retainers.
Do you provide ongoing fractional general counsel services?
Yes, but only for one client at a time. Our goal is to help you build the clarity, confidence, and structure to stand on your own, without endless legal bills draining your revenue every month. When our work with you is complete, your business should be equipped to move forward independently, but we’ll never transition you out before you’re ready. And, once you’ve been invited to Tavola, you’ll always be invited to come back when you need us.
